I appreciate the work in Digikam6 and the tag tools are becoming more familiar. I want to be able to use the presentation mode for various sequences of images offered up by the good boolean search interface. Presentation does well for fade timing with searched or selected groups of images, but there is no filename or caption joined to the full screen image that is presented. In the preparation dialog box prior to "start" presentation I have checked the Main Settings>Content boxes for filename and captions (and progress counter) I am forced to use Windows10 to match my work with another user of the image collection and I havent had time to do testing on my Linux Mint system. I hope this is not a missing feature for the windows world. Any guidance appreciated Ty |
I discovered that unchecking the box for "OpenGL transitions" caused the filename to display. The Open Gl transition displays only the caption if it exists and the progress counter in the presentation. The progress counter is always in upper right corner and any existing caption is centered and low and quite large font To cause filename to display, which is a much smaller font, I must uncheck back to the standard transition menu. I can do OK with this, but is there some place in digikam to configure a larger font for filename display in presentation mode? I wonder too if there is any means to present the filedate or modify date? On Sun, Mar 3, 2019 at 12:51 AM Ty Mayn <[hidden email]> wrote:

Hi, With the next 6.1.0, The Presentation tool code will be ported with more modern Qt5 OpenGL classes and will introduce some bugfixes. I currently update the Windows installers with these changes. So please test with this version which will be available today (installer must have the date of today). If the problem still here, please create a new file in bugzilla.
