[digiKam-users] l10n issue in print creator

hello,

despite digikam._desktop_.po being 73 % translated (as per https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/trunk-kf5/team/de/digikam/) most of the strings shown in print creator are displayed in english. i wonder if is this an issue with my distribution (using arch linux but i think i've seen this in debian too) or i am doing something wrong.

i am referring to the strings like "(8 photos)", "Passport photos", etc. digikam si at the latest stable version. all other program menus seem to be translated.

What language is it about? Here under German, Print Creator is all translated
again. By adding context information to texts, many translations in
digiKam-7.2.0 were invalid. In the meantime, however, the translations are
being reconciled.

Thank you, Maik. Your reply made me realize that .po files are used to generate .desktop files in templates/ (not turn them into compiled message catalog). Now I wonder if there's a way to do this w/o having to pull the latest sources and running make. But nothing critical, really..
