[digiKam-users] huge digikam-git size

Hi
I just compiled last digikam git master (beta7). I get a 328 Mo tar.xz
package size. It was 95 Mo with previous versions. Is it normal?

yes. It's to a huge binary file (235Mb) used ad DNN model for new face engine. Look in core/data/faceengine/dnnface/

We are talking about to changes that. Please be patient.

It's written "beta 7" on splash screen at starting...

The release version of application is "-git". This want mean alpha stage.

We setup "-betaXX" while beta stages and empty for finally release. This string is shown in splashscreen.

Splashcreen if this string is empty or not. If not, "beta" stamp is print over splash image.
