[digiKam-users] freezes on startup at

I’m trying to use the latest Apple download of Digikam (5.8.0) on OS X High Sierra, and it freezes on startup - the icon shows that it starts running, but the main window never appears - it freezes and has to be force-quit. How do I run this on OS X 10.13?

Just install the PKG, and run the icon from the desktop. No more.

It work fine here with Sierra (i don't install yet High Sierra for stability reasons).

The executable in in /opt/digikam/...

Look the details here :

You can run it from a terminal to see the details of debug statements.
