[digiKam-users] failed Windows installation - database error

Gunther
I did a Windows 10 x64 installation, and out of the box I get this output
from debugView, see below.
After clicking cancel, the digikam splas screen comes up but gets stuck at
"ICC profiles". digikam never opens up.
It looks to me that the database does not exist or digikam can not connect
to the database.
At the moment I'm at the end of my wits and I guess I need some help /
pointers on how to proceed and troubleshot. Thanks a lot.

Re: failed Windows installation - database error

Maik Qualmann
Your database entries point to the wrong folder and not to the corresponding
databases. Use the digiKam-7.0.0-beta1, this will no longer get stuck on the
welcome screen and you can then reconfigure the paths to the database in
digiKam Setup.
