[digiKam-users] digikam git build fail

leoutation
Hi
I try to build digikam git 6.1
I get many errors.
https://pastebin.com/4dv8U5sv

I see:
'CMake Warning:
Manually-specified variables were not used by the project:
ENABLE_OPENCV3'

How can I enable opencv 4 (if it's possible...) ?
Arch system
OpenCV 4
KF5 56

Hi,

You try to compile digiKam with OpenCV 4. This version is not yet supported as you can see in this file :

Hi,

Q : how did you compile OPenCV 4 on your computer, to be able to configure digiKam with the detection of the library ?

If you read my comments from bug #401306, i'm not able to fix this report because the install of OpenCV provide a broken cmake configuration script used by digiKam to detect the library. Typically the install path is configured by / instead /usr.

There is no problem with OpenCV3.

I don't know, I use official opencv-4.0.1-5 arch package
But, i know Digikam 6 detected right arch opencv-4.0.1-5 library path
because i built successfully digikam 6 with it

In fact, digiKam do not detect nothing. It use the pre configured script shared by OpenCV4 while install stage. That all. This simplify a lots the detection process.

The problem is that OpenCV 4 on my computer, share a wrong config settings.

The openCV4 broken compilation must be fixed now in git/master code (next 6.1.0)

Yes, I could compiled successfully last digikam git version with opencv 4.
But, despite KF5/kimageformats 56, xcf thumbnails are not displayed.
