I plan to move from Aperture to digikam. But there is serious problem.
DigiKam does not read the GPS information from XMP files exported from Aperture. I use the Aperture Exporter from the App Store. In JPEGs the information is included, but in RAW/JPEG pairs, the information os written to an XMP file. When I open the XMP, I can see the GPS information, but when I open the pic in digikam, it does not display it on the map. Anybody else with that problem, or is there a know solution, or is it a known problem without a solution? I could send the xmp file, if someone likes to take a look at it. Thanks for any help. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
Hi, Which digiKam version do you use ? Aperture support must work as expected. Can you share files to try to reproduce the problem ? Best Gilles CaulierĀ 2018-03-01 21:50 GMT+01:00 aj1575 <[hidden email]>: I plan to move from Aperture to digikam. But there is serious problem. |
Have you tried opening an image then go to menu item - 'reread metadata from image'? Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I'm on DigiKam 5.8.0 I have some files to play around on Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s26k0pbpv65r9hn/AADoEWrg2w4_MbCKlFscXRU4a?dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s26k0pbpv65r9hn/AADoEWrg2w4_MbCKlFscXRU4a?dl=0> (hope it works) There 4 files, one JPG working correctly, with the GPS in the file (it is a PP-Version of the RAW; has lzn in the name), then there is a RAW and a JPEG, they used to be a RAW/JPEG pair in Aperture, and the .XMP that was created in the Aperture Export. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
