Hello, I can't make the yesterday's appimage read metadata from this file: However, this file being read just fine (GPS location, dimensions, etc. show up): Both videos taken by the same camera and compressed by the same ffmpeg script. The only difference between them is that the first one I tagged, rated, etc. in digikam 5.9.0. first and then opened in 6.0.0 and re-read metadata from file. The second one I did not do anything in 5.9.0 and opened in 6.0.0 right away. Do you know what might cause that issue? Best regards, Andrey |
Hi, In 5.9.0, i suppose that XMP side car are generated to tag video, and this will include the date inside. Right ? Best Gilles Caulier 2018-06-06 16:07 GMT+02:00 Andrey Goreev <[hidden email]>:

I haven't checked if XMP sidecar was actually created but yes it should be there. Yes, XMP sidecar was there. I removed it and digikam read metadata properly after that. Is that expected behavior ? Best regards, On Wed, Jun 6, 2018 at 10:21 AM, Andrey Goreev <[hidden email]> wrote:

Yes that's it, if a sidecar is present, this one will be used. Maik Am Mittwoch, 6. So they are higher priority than embedded metadata? Best regards, On Wed, Jun 6, 2018 at 2:55 PM, Maik Qualmann <[hidden email]> wrote: > [x] read form sidecars |
Yes, if the option is activated, only the sidecar will read.
