Hello,
I have installed digiKam 7.2.0 on my macOS 10.13.6. When I start the app, I get the following message: ----- Error while opening the database. digiKam will try to automatically reconnect to the database. ----- I had previously installed an older version in the past that I didn't know about. When I acknowledge the upper message, I get the second message ----- Failed to open the database. You cannot use digicam without working database... ----- After confirmation I get the small start window of digiKam for one second. After that an error report. Maybe you want to delete the previous database and start with a new one? By default tThe database is located in your Picture folder and consists of three or four files. Sebastian Am Mi., 14. Apr. 2021 um 15:05 Uhr schrieb truecolor <[hidden email]>: Hello, |
Hello Sebastian and thank you for your quick reply.
I have no local photos / pictures. I searched my entire startup volume for keywords like: database digikam Nothing is found that could point to a database. - Where are the database paths of digikam stored? - How can I cleanly delete digiKam so that any "old" path information that may exist is safely deleted? -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

hello jdd, immediately after the start digiKam closes again. Therefore I can not look in the config. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

Hello Gilles,
in the hole folder ~/Library/Preferences/ (incl. subfolders) is neither a file nor a path, who sounds similar like digiKam. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
'~' is your home directory. Typically on my MacBook pro, it's /Users/gilles/... Gilles Caulier Le mer. 14 avr. 2021 à 18:26, truecolor <[hidden email]> a écrit : Hello Gilles, |
