[digiKam-users] When upgrading my templates disappears

digikam-2
DK 6.3 appimage

I just upgraded from 6.2 to 6.3 and now my templates have disappeared
again.

The same thing happened when going from 6.1 to 6.2 but I thought that
I did something wrong then.

Is there a way of getting my templates back without having to retype
them all?

Thanks

Why should the templates disappear? These are located under "~/.local/share/
digikam" as template.xml. This directory will not be deleted by digiKam. How
do you install a new version?

I didn't install anything. I just downloaded the 64bit appimage, set
it to executable and created a desktop shortcut that points to it.

I just checked ~/.local/share/digikam and it's empty, the permissions
are 755.

Thanks
