[digiKam-users] Upgrade, what needs to be done?

Hi,

I'm on version 7.1 with a base of aprox. 60K photos. on a Windows PC.

This may be pretty stupid questions, but I ask anyway... 

If I want to upgrade to 7.2 RC, what do I need to do? 

Download digiKam-7.2.0-rc-Win64.exe or digiKam-7.2.0-rc-x86-64.appimage ?

After download and run, do I need to tell digikam the location of my database?

Anything else?

You need the digiKam-7.2.0-rc-Win64.exe . The one ending in appimage is for
linux.

If you already have the version 7.1 installed, it will probably use the same
configurations file so you won't need to configure the database location or
any other thing.
