[digiKam-users] --> Theme Designer for Digikam

Alex Antão
Hi,

I'd like to play a little on Themes for digikam, but found almost nothing about how can I create my own theme for it.
the best I found was the commandline:
       digikamthemedesigner
But it lacks information and seems a little limited.

Does anyone knows where I can find documentation about creating my own themes ?

Thanks.

This program is completely obsolete and come from a very very old version of digiKam.

Forget it.

Look in KDE desktop (Plasma) which provide GUI to create color theme exported as text file. digiKam use the same format.

Hey,

I played with themes a while ago
(http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digiKam-users-Dark-themes-for-digikam-td4709037.html
), and basically what you have to do is create or edit a Plasma Color Scheme
(https://store.kde.org/browse/cat/112/ord/rating/ ) which are text files
with the .color extension. Then, place it to
/home/username/.local/share/digikam/colorschemes  (Create the "colorschemes"
folder if it does not exist) or, if you use Windows, to: C:\Program
Files\digiKam\data\digikam\colorschemes.

If you do not want to edit the theme by hand, you can use KDE's color theme
editor in its settings menu.

This is just for the color scheme. For the actual theme (icons, shape of the
buttons, etc) is a bit harder.
