I have a question. I want to change the date of some images (because from
another computer I've notice they're wrong), so I went to that directory in Digikam and the pictures are not there. There's supposed to be 7 pictures, digikam shows the number 7 next to the folder, but only shows 5 pictures. I imagine that the remaining two pictures have been grouped with a duplicated image somewhere else and I cannot find them now. Even typing the filename in the search panel cannot find it. Is there any way to show all images that belong to a folder, regardless of them being grouped or not? Thanks in advance. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
Hello,
Is the box "Always show original images" checked in your settings by chance? You can find it in Image Versioning Settings https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-graphics/digikam/using-setup.html#u sing-setup-editor -----Original Message----- From: Digikam-users [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of woenx Sent: August 28, 2018 5:30 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: [digiKam-users] Show grouped images in a folder I have a question. I just tried it. Activating that option did not make any change. Grouped
images only appear in the folder where the picture "on the top of the stack" is located. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
The original image option is in regard to versioned items, which is
different from grouped ones. If you have grouped items (folder item on the bottom right of the thumbnail overlay), then you can click that folder to expand all grouped items or you can mark multiple items, then in the context menu under "Group" selecte "Show grouped items". Yes, but the problem is that grouped items do not appear in the folder where
they are located unless they are the photo "on the top of the stack" of the grouped items. It's also not possible to find that file even if you know the filename, the search returns nothing. You have to first search the "top" photo to which it is grouped, ungroup them, and then search for the folder again. Let me attach a screenshot with an example: https://imgur.com/a/WBfKceU -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
Enable the display of original and intermediate steps images under the digiKam
settings under Image Editing-> Versioning. Grouped images are always on display. Maik Am Freitag, 31. When the group is "closed" the grouped photos will not display in the results for any searches or filters. Grouping effectively hides photos. woenx, a workaround may be to show all groups and then search for the files. Go to your root album and display all photos (View > Include Album Subtree), this may be slow if you have a large collection. Then select all photos and right click (Group > Show Grouped Items). The hidden photos can be searched until you exit Digikam. Thank you for your responses.
Maik, I also tried activating that option, but I think it only affects pictures that have been edited, not the ones that are part of a group. Thank you Meku for the workaround. It's a bit slow, specially when I have a few root albums containing tens of thousands of pictures, but it's better than nothing. I think an ideal behavior would be to show all the pictures in an album, regardless of their position in a group. If I am not mistaken, this bug report refers to this behavior: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303239 I'll comment on it linking to this thread. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |
