[digiKam-users] Sending IPTC to raw processor

digikam-2
DK 6.4.0 appimage on Manjaro.

I use Digikam for the DAM and Rawtherapee for the image editing. DK
does create the image.cr2.xmp file.

I enter my captions, titles and keywords in DK, but they are not
passed on to the image in Rawtherapee.

Anything I can do about it?

I'd like the exported JPEG from Rawtherapee to have the
description, title and keywords.

Thanks

In DK/Setup/Metadata dialog page, look settings for compatible XMP sidecar base name, to use with Darktable...

Best

I sometimes use Darktable but I much prefer Rawtherapee. The output
(or my skills) seems to be much better for my images, especially the
hard ones to process.

[digiKam-users] Digikam 7 Beta 3 on Fedora 31 - error loading libfuse.so.2

Kai Blauberg
Hi,

I gave Digikam 7.0 Beta 3 a try on Fedora 31 with the following error messages:

[[hidden email] Downloads]$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 5.5.5-200.fc31.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Feb 19 23:28:07 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

[[hidden email] Downloads]$ ./digikam-7.0.0-beta3-20200224T083447-i386.appimage
dlopen(): error loading libfuse.so.2

AppImages require FUSE to run.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.
for more information

FUSE is installed on the system
fuse.x86_64                                                        2.9.9-8.fc31                                                        @fedora

Hope this can be corrected in the future versions.

Many thanks,

Kai

Thanks. Oops, however with the correct file it didn't get any better:

GLX error is about OpenGL stuff. It's used in QtWebEngine (Chrome web
browser component to render geolocation map).

Did you install freeglu package, even if you don't have an opengl
compatible video card ?

Re: Digikam 7 Beta 3 on Fedora 31 - error loading libfuse.so.2

Kai Blauberg
Hi,

Freeglut comes with the QGIS - geographic information system software, that is installed on the system. And also needed. ;-)
