Gilles

The date/time on the 64bit appimage has not changed, so am I correct in
thinking it has either errored or not completed yet?

Re: Refresh not working

Gilles Caulier-4
It completed this morning. From my VM :

digikam-6.1.0-git-20190224T093518-x86-64.appimage

digikam-6.1.0-git-20190223T153333-x86-64.appimage

This want mean that files.kde.org is under to switch to new infrastructure and is not updated. I recieve a mail from KDE admin about this switch.

I will try to upload again.

Re: Refresh not working

I confirm it now runs without the [ ] errors.   thanks!

I am however tracking down why I cannot upload photos to google photos on ubuntu 18.04, oauth doesn't seem to be working for me, but i think i have it working on Ubuntu 16.04. I'll have to compare the output of both and report back in another thread. No need to respond here, unless somebody already knows the answer of course :-)

Re: Refresh not working

Gilles Caulier-4
I know the response : openssh version

AppImage is build with Centos6.10 with all last update. Why this old Centos version ? For a binary compatibilty...

The openssh use with OAuth to communicate with webservice sound like a little bit old to communicate safety. So the identification fail.

I need to use a more recent Centos version but it will a long task.

thanks, this saves me that test :)   I could of course just wait until there's a more official ubuntu release, shouldn't take too long.

Re: Refresh not working

Gilles

Maybe I'm being silly but the download from the main site for the
appimage still does not work, that is digikam-6.0.0-x86-64.appimage.
Where am I supposed to find a working V6.0.0 stable?

Where am I supposed to find a working V6.0.0 stable?

Maybe I'm being silly but the download from the main site for the
appimage still does not work, that is digikam-6.0.0-x86-64.appimage.
Where am I supposed to find a working V6.0.0 stable?

Re: Refresh not working

Simon Frei
Maybe there's a misunderstanding: Gilles updated the nightly builds (for
the upcoming 6.1.0), not the stable ones. Releases can't be changed
after the fact, the release number would have to be increased. Just for
testing (aka with database backup) you can use nightly builds. Obviously
it sucks that the stable appimages don't work on tumbleweed, but that's
likely not important enough to do a full new bug-fix release (6.0.1).

Here the official 64-bit AppImage works without problem under openSUSE

Re: Refresh not working

hajo
Stuart,

What would happen if you just created the folder  "/home/stuart/Work/Graphics11/Pentax-K-70/2019/02", put a random photo in it and started Digikam. Maybe it would pick up this folder? Then, within Digikam, deleted the folder and restarted the app?

Your "Graphics1" vs "Graphics11" somehow might suggest an unprintable character somewhere. So another thought would be for you to (while digikam does not run) rename your Graphics1 folder or move it out of the way and see what will happen.

Always back up before trying, pls...

Re: Refresh not working

Stuart T Rogers
I have already validated the disk structure and it's OK. I have created
a new database and populated it and still the error happens. The actual
correct folder is shown in Digikam without error and on a restart it
correctly picks up any new images in it. I am unable to find any errors
which could cause this. The folder has existed for probably over a year
now and no other program has any issue with it, not darktable gwenview
gimp or anything else I've tried.

I do not expect to have to add or remove folders within digikam, it
should work with whatever is in the existing folder structure on disk.

Re: Refresh not working

Maik

I have a second PC with TW on it and it fails in exactly the same way

So this is not a one off error. The previous beta versions of V6 ran OK
on one of my TW PCs (did not try the second one).

This is with a fresh download of the official version from the digikam
web site downloads section.
