[digiKam-users] Problem displaying filenames in Preview under Windows?

I am looking at 6.1.0 and notice that when I am in the preview mode, no
filenames or other information is displayed below the thumbnails.

This was not the case in the version of digiKam I was using previously.

Is this an intended change in digiKam or is it a bug?

(Or maybe I have something configured incorrectly)

In preview mode, text information has never been displayed in thumbnail bar.
Only small icons for pick label, rating and a graphic overlay for the image
type.

I guess I'm just getting old and my memory is failing. I would have sworn the
thumbnail bar used to show the same items as in the thumbnails view.

I just got a new computer. Maybe I should have upgraded MY memory at the
same time...
