[digiKam-users] "People" parent tag in People view/panel

jmoliver
Hello,

I did a clean install of 7.2.0-rc (ffbcb5f3) to test and noticed that in the People view, there is a parent tag (with face icon) named "People" with Unconfirmed, Unknown and Ignored tags as well as names underneath. Did not see this on prior builds. There are also names in the root (not under the "People" tag). I moved some of the tags under People but they reappear under the root when re-launching Digikam. Is this by design or a bug?

Odd, still cannot move these tags back into "People". I installed build 7.2.0-rc (de41d0b2), did not do a clean re-scan but still cannot move the tags back into People. Opened bug 432957 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432957

A People tag has data to define the 'box' around the face which is tagged in addition to the standard tag info.  I suspect that this is why those tags cannot be moved into People.

Turned out to be a bug with MySQL affecting tags. Already got fixed for the next rc build!
