Announcement looks amazing - good job everyone! I've just installed 6.0.0, and apart from a brief "Updating to schema v10" it's been running for nearly 10 minutes now without any UI. No window, no splash screen, nothing. I'm presuming it's working through my collection (I have about 400,000 images, and an SQLLite DB) but it's not a great user experience - would be nice if there was some UI/progress meter to indicate what's going on and give some degree of confidence that it hasn't just hung. ;) On Sun, 17 Feb 2019 at 10:43, Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> wrote:

You can try launching digikam in the terminal. In that case you will be able to see what exactly is going on. Hi, I tried launching Digikam within the OSX terminal, but didn't get any log output. Is there some flag that needs to be passed? Is there a FAQ/article on this? I'm finding that every time I launch DigiKam it takes 30+ minutes to launch (if it launches at all) which implies something is very wrong. Hi, Under MacOS, there is nothing special to do to see all debug outputs on the console. Just start the real executable, not the link set for the Finder Applications repository.
