[digiKam-users] How do I get DK to re-read the xmps?

DK 6.2.0 appimage

How do I get DK to re-read the xmps for a whole album?

I've done some changes to the XMPs and I'd like to get it reflected in
DK.

Just select all pictures in the album, and go to Edit, "Re-read metadata from
selected files". No? Or maybe even right clicking on an album and selecting
"Refresh" will do the same.


Oh, and make sure you have the option to Read metadata from sidecars
activated in the settings.

I saw that but I wasn't sure. I don't want to screw up and corrupt my
db
