Hi,
Facebook is ... Facebook, and it rules the world. If you want to know why this plugin doesn't work, look in this bugzilla entry : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182838#c36 To resume : it's not a technical issue, it due to a very long waiting about facebook right to validate the plugin, and facebook do not respond to team or want to sign chart/contract/etc... We are open source, not a commercial project. This Facebook stuff is out of space ! As i don't use, and i won't use all facebook social network (instagram and co), personality, i don't care... If someone has the energy and time to lost to deal with facebook, let's go... It's not as if there's no other way to upload to whatever social media one uses. Export to a directory on HDD and then upload to facebook comes to mind... (of course, the same goes for other export plugins running into this kind of obstacles) I think your time is much better spent on other work on Digikam, to keep its quality as high as it is now.
