Hello . I am running Digikam on opensuse 15.1 the version is 6.0 and i ve migrated from opensuse 15.0. A strange thing occurs in this new version: After having taggued my pictures in a folder i used to transfer it in an another named "Taggued" (I have a lot of pictures to tag and this way i know what has been done and what is left to). When i do so the ancient folder is still there with no more photos in it??? If i try to delete it, the soft will answer OK the first time but the folder is still there, then if i try again the soft will say "this folder doesn t exist" .... It s very ennoying because i now have these empty folders that i cant manage (impossible to rename by the way). Thank you. Hi,
This sound like a bug that i already seen about File System change listener. I already seen this dysfunction in the past, bu not since a while. Did you use really 6.0.0 and not last stable 6.4.0 ? Newest you can get from semi-official repositories is 6.4.0, from the OBS repository "KED:Extra". Remco |

Hello Gilles. Yes the 6.0.0 is the version in the official depository of opensuse LEAP 15.1. Do tou think i should upgrade via Pacman or another source? Regards. Le 2020-05-10 09:00, Gilles Caulier a écrit :

Hello. I ve been downloaded and launched the Appimage 64bits Linux. It works perfectly but there is exactly the same issue: After having taggued and transfered pictures from a folder to another (with not the same name) i try to delete the old and empty one and it is impossible... Very odd and ennoying. I have try the tool "maintenance" but it does nothing. It could be an issue with the sqlite thing but how could i know where exactly and repair it?... Is it possible to build a new database that restaure all the items? Regards. Le 2020-05-10 16:28, Gilles Caulier a écrit :

Hello. A new event: after having checked in parameters the option "Surveiller les albums...." and relaunched Digikam, an error message display "Impossible to create tables in the database". Maybe this help someone to find where the bug is. Regards. Le 2020-05-10 22:35, Yves Thomazeau a écrit :

After the error message that no tables can be created, your digikam4.db is definitely write-protected. Maik Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> schrieb am Mi., 13. Mai 2020 10:04: Hi, |

Before you use GDB, which is not helpful with this problem, start digiKam in
the terminal and give us the log. With digiKam-7.0.0-RC an "export QT_LOGGING_RULES="digikam.*=true" is necessary. Maik Am Mittwoch, 13. Hello Maik. I ve been able to read the logs using the "Journal du Systéme" filtered with the key word "Digikam". So either at the start (having choosen the "find new items on start") or while trying to rename a folder, i ve got these kind of error messages: Failure executinq query "SELECT FROM Searches" no such tables : Searches. Failure executing query "DELETE FROM albums WHERE ....." no such Tables : MainVideoMetadata" Failure executing query "DELETE FROM albums WHERE ....." no such Tables : Imagerelations" And another one : "SELECT FROM ImageRelations......" Nombre de paramètres incorrect. Something is broken in my dataBase and i don't know how to handle it. Maybe there are new tables in new versions that were not in my Db ? Thank you for your avices. Hello Gilles. Yes i agree of course. But now what can i do? The only way i see is to dele the DB and then update all my tags from the beginning but if there were a better way .. i would prefer. The other thing i d like to know is what and when it went wrong, not to have the same disease again. Thinking of the way i managed digikam, i suppose that there is something special with the "deplace" command with folders because i ve always had little troubles while doing that, maybe you could tell me more about it? Anyway in the future i will save the db automatically. Waiting for your advices. Thank you for the help. Yves. Le 2020-05-19 12:44, Gilles Caulier a écrit :
