[digiKam-users] Feature Request: Show Rating on Portrait Thumbnails while Previewing

I really like being able to see the rating in the filmstrip when I'm previewing images, but the portrait photos don't seem to show it (I think it's there, just hidden).  Is there a way to show that?  Here's an example -- the landscape thumbnails show the rating because there's room, the portrait thumbnails only show the rating when you have the mouse over the image:

Currently I review my photos after downloading/importing them, to filter out the ones I want to discard.  showing the stars let's me see when ones haven't been tagged yet.  Perhaps there's a better workflow?

The rating is overlapped by the image format. I fixed this problem 2 days ago
and it will be fixed in digiKam-5.9.0.
