Hi,

Is there a version of DK6 for opensuse leap (it shows only DK 5.9) or
do I need to get the appimage?

Here (https://software.opensuse.org/package/digikam) it says that version 6.0
is in the repositories. But in my experience, it's better to use the most
updated version in appimage format (from here:
https://files.kde.org/digikam/). They are usually quite stable. Or get the
6.0 appimage from the official website (https://www.digikam.org/download/)
if you don't feel like experimenting.

You can even integrate appimages with your OS using AppImageLauncher.
