Hi. Digikam has a great automatic red eye removal algorithm.
Is there something also for white eyes caused by flash?
Thanks

Hi,

Well, not actually. The algorithm try to found red dominant color in eyes. The algorithm must be adjusted... The same problem exists with the green dominant generated by dog retina...

Best

We need to found somebody to contribute. The code is located in a dedicated C++ class including algorithm and settings. I'm sure that few adjustments can be enough to handle this case.

This kind of topic can be assigned to students who have learn image processing. It's not too much complicated.

So for the moment, nobody work on it.
