[digiKam-users] Crash with stacked image tool

digikam-2
DK 7.1.0 appimage on opensuse kde

1. Select the 7 images (on tripod + wireless remote)
2. align_image_stack :: 2020.0.0.2
3. enfuse: 4.2
4. list of bracketed images (raf raw images all 7 of them) the
exposure ev is not correct. It shows -8.6ev in fact it was -3ev, the
next on is -7.6ev when it fact it was -2ev and so on until the
overexposure for the highlights show -2.2ev when in fact it's +3ev
5. Next: align bracketed images (just in case)
6. This can take a while and DK crashes.

If I do not select: align bracketed images. It goes to the enfuse
stage, with the proper preview, click on save and nothing happens:

> failed to process output of bracketed images

and details shows an empty window.

Any suggestion on how to make this work?

Thank you

Re: Crash with stacked image tool

Gilles Caulier-4
Hi,

Please report this problem to bugzilla. The most important in first is
to have a console backtrace when enfuse executable is called.
Just run digikam in a console as explained in contribute web page :

https://www.digikam.org/contribute/

To get a gdb backtrace from appimage, just use the "debug" argument
from command line as explained in this README :

https://www-ftp.lip6.fr/pub/X11/kde-applicationdata/digikam/README

Best

Re: [Solved (I think)] Crash with stacked image tool

digikam-2
I couldn't find the debug appimage of the 7.1.0.

I downloaded digiKam-7.2.0-rc-20210127T180529-x86-64.appimage to test
and it ran properly while it wouldn't in 7.1.0

Fixed: thank you
