[digiKam-users] Connection to NAS drive

Hello all
I have just installed Digikam for the first time and wish to use the photos
stored on my NAS drive not the ones stored on the computer. When I start and
it asks to add a collection for the network have no way of connecting to
anything outside the computer. Is this a feature or a bug?
Computer is Ubuntu 18.04

It should be possible (that's how I use it, at least). In ubuntu, a NAS drive
should show up as any other folder, so you should be able to add it. How are
you exactly doing it? Have you tried to manually add the folder to Settings,
Configure Digikam, Collections?
