Hello, I'm trying to migrate database to Mariadb (5.5.57).
Due to more than 50,000 photos. But during "Test connection" I get an error "Driver not loaded" (written twice) Did someone already experienced this ? <http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/file/t376715/Screenshot_20180818_121621.png> -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html

Which digikam version ? Which OS ? Did you try to use the offcial AppImage bundle instead the official native package ? Gilles Caulier 2018-08-18 12:18 GMT+02:00 mippo9 <[hidden email]>: Hello, I'm trying to migrate database to Mariadb (5.5.57). |

Hello Gilles,
Digikam version is 5.9.0. OS is KDE (Neon) NAS I use is QNAP (TS-251+) Running Mariadb (5.5.57) About AppImage , I've just tried for the first time, but without success, it doesn't install it. if you deem important I could try again. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html

Appimages are not for install. They are not installed, they are launched from
the folder you put it. I think you should first uninstall Digikam native version of you operating system, then you should make a backup of the Digikam database and the last step is to make the appimage executable, changing file properties. Then you can launch Digikam by clicking on the Appimage. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

Hello Rafael,
actually I don't want to uninstall Gigikam ... I have some customization, prefer to wait for the next 6.0 release (please, when is it planned?) anyway I've tried the Appimage on a Ubuntu (16.04), activated by double click, got this error: <http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/file/t376715/Schermata_del_2018-08-19_16-26-36.png> (no file_to_app result to show) also, please, why not to put the link to this Forum in the "Support" section in the Digikam web page? (it seems missing...) -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html

Do you read well the contents. I have some customization, prefer to wait for the next 6.0 release (please, digiKam 6.0.0-beta1 tarball just pushed on download server. The release announcement will be written soon.
Double click ? you want mean to set appimage file as executable and run it with double click through file manager. Seriously, this is a simple task to do without to see this kind of error. Read this :

Dear Gilles,
about *Appimage*: tried again, and now with one click only, it starts, but: 1) the release of DK appears to be as 5.9.0 (and not as 5.9.0-01) so how I can be sure it is running the Appimage, instead of the current installed 5.9.0 release ? 2) the error now I get, after testing connection command, is: <http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/file/t376715/Screenshot_20180820_190800.png> please note the difference in the internal IP code, where my NAS (host) has the final as 158, but the error reports as 139 (?!?) about the *Forum link*: I meant this link--> http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/ it could be very useful to have accessible in the https://www.digikam.org/support/ page. I'm sorry to boring you, but Linux require a lot of patience, and hopefully it seems we have it. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html
