[digiKam-users] Cannot Write Metadata to Video Files

I am having trouble writing metadata to video files like mp4 or mov. I have tried the "write metadata to each file" in "Captions" and "edit metadata" in "item", all work for pictures like jpeg, but no one works for videos.

Could someone help me?

I am using Digikam 7.1.0 at macOS 10.15.6.

Hi,

Videos are read only files for metadata with Exiv2 and ffmpeg
backends. So you must use XMP sidecars for these kinds of files.
