[digiKam-users] Can't rebuild thumbnails-digikam.db

Hi all,

I found that this file is corrupted, although it seems to work fine.

If I go to the Maintenance menú -> Rebuild Thumbnails, digiKam gets stuck at around 32% of the work, after sooo many hours (more than 24h for around 160k images). Tried several times with the very same result.

Is there anything I can do?

If you also save the metadata in the pictures or in sidecars, I'd just delete the database file and let digikam rebuild it from scratch.

You can also try to repair the database using an external tool.

In any case, make backups.
