Hi together,
I use DigiKam since some years on Windows. Great. Since now I used another program to rename my files and to create my folder structure. I want to do this with digikam now. I want my camera in the filename (GH5). Is this possible? Are there some more placeholders than just the few shown in the import dialog? Thanks. Best. Fabian |
Hi,
1. RTFM 2. the easiest way is [cam] or better to avoid spaces: [cam]{replace:“ “,“_“} Jürgen Am 19. Dezember 2019 10:50:00 MEZ schrieb Fabian Frank <[hidden email]>: Hi together, -- Diese Nachricht wurde von meinem Android-Gerät mit K-9 Mail gesendet. |
Hi,
thanks for the input. I can not find something about this in the manual...please point me in the right direction. I just tried the [cam] variable...but it is not working here. Nor like this {cam}. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. best. Fabian On 19.12.2019 16:31, Jürgen Blumenschein wrote: > Hi, > > 1. In the Import tool, the metadata options are currently not available in the
renaming. Because depending on the import driver, we may not have any metadata available. After the import, renaming with metadata is possible. Maik Am Freitag, 20. Ah, now I see...
So this is it for me in this case. Things have to be quick. Import and than rename is not an option - very sad. I had the strong hope to get rid of my not open source import tool (which has VERY sophisticated downloading, renaming and folder options). But of course I will stick with DigiKam for all other stuff! Hope that some time there will be some quicker way to deal with downloading/renaming. Best and happy xmas to all of you. Hi
I realise this isn't a Digikam solution, but as you mention using a downloading tool, you and others might be interested in Rapid Photo Downloader: https://www.damonlynch.net/rapid/index.html Lots of renaming options - I've not tried them all! Free and open source: quick and easy to use alongside Digikam. Linux only (which is not a problem for me). Happy Christmas! Of course you can do what I do, which is make a folder per camera, then year, then the full date as folder. So it becomes /sony a65/2019/2019-01-01/ filename.arw Then, depening on how many camera's you use at the same time, you can always hardcode the cameraname using the customize option. Last but not least there's an execute script option. Using exiftools the renaming shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck, Gerhard -- https://gerhardhoogterp.nl/ |
