digiKam splashscreen changes too fast

Hi,

why do we change the splashscreen so often?
I do understand changing it during major versions, but why also during  
beta and release candidates?
People voted for the splash months ago (I guess), but the final version  
will have a different splash.
If I'm not too wrong, digiKam 2.0.0 had 4 different splash screens so far.

Maybe we should think about voting for the splash just before the final  
release, not in the beginning of the development process?

Well, for each beta/rc version, i change splash to promote user works. I recieve a lots of contributions by mail, with really good items. I try to satisfied all...

I thinking to add a splash selection in setup, manually or randomly using a local repository of best pictures. But it can increase again the size of packages...
