digiKam is not writting to sidecar files under Windows‏

Guys,

I am using digiKam 4.2 for Windows (CUDA version) and have it installed under Ubunto 13.10 as well.

Although the metadata setting is the same for both (see attached), the Windows version is not saving to sidecar files. Neither creating a sidecar file for a new picture nor updating a existing sidecar work.

Could you please help?

I noticed this as well, but was in a hurry and assumed an incorrect setting on my part since they were DNG files from VueScan
