digiKam & digikamimageplugins 0.9.1-rc1 are available as tarballs on
http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/0.9.1 release/ (take care of blanc in the
address!)

Tested on Debian experimental/Kde 3.5.6

Please let me know if they compile on your distros - I'll then commit them to
SF.

Compile and running in openSuse 10.2 + KDE 3.5.6,  :)
