digiKam 2.0.0 face detection text box too small

Mark Fraser
Just upgraded to Kubuntu 11.04 and have installed digikam2 from Philip
Johnsson's PPA. In the People section, the box that appears under the
thumbnails where you enter the name of the person is very small. Any ideas how
I get it back to normal size?

Not sure what it looks like at your end but if I recall it right I
think the text box is the same size as the betas before. They could be
bigger though so you can see more of the text/names. Are the boxes
smaller now for you?

Not sure if this will work, but I'm attaching an image showing how small the
text box and the OK/Cancel buttons are.

The attached screenshot worked for me.

It doesn't look like that here with KDE and Kubuntu for me. Are you
running Digikam with Gnome? Just a thought... For me the text box look
like it always have done for me, bigger that is. Maybe you could
report it as a bug?

I renamed digikamrc and restarted, now the text box is the right size. Would
the old file be useful to anyone so that they can figure out what caused it?

There are quite a few differences, but nothing that stands out as causing the
problems. Could I email you both files?

Any idea what is causing digiKam to crash when I try to recognise faces?

yes you can. But already reproduced this problem under MACOSX. It's due to Qt style widget applied to iconview item to show face tag edit widget.

I wrapped around this issue to show more information below iconview items.

not yet... I'm waiting Marcel comments about. He has written this code...

I had this issue with my own beta6 build from git. Yesterday upgraded to
Natty final, which destroied my complete system. After reinstall Natty
final and digikam beta6 from Phillip, the issue has gone. maybe some
usefull insight about the cause can be derived from that.
