Re: digiKam 1.0.0-beta2 release for KDE4...

Milan Knížek
Thanks for the release!

It would be fine to add a remark to the readme and digikam web that the
installation prefix should be the same as the one of KDE.

In Ubuntu, KDE is installed in /usr, while cmake takes /usr/local as the
default prefix. As a result, kio-slaves of digikam are not found (there
have been bugs reported on this topic) and no image displayed.

regards,
Milan

Re: digiKam 1.0.0-beta2 release for KDE4...

Bugzilla from andi.clemens@gmx.net
$(kde4-config --prefix) in the cmake command should give the right path all
the time...

Maybe we missunderstand each other - my remark was not about finding the
prefix of the KDE installation but about warning the semi-skilled user
that installing digiKam anywhere else may lead to a problem.

Running simple
$ cmake .
ends up with /usr/local as installation prefix on my system.
