I am using ubuntu 10.10 meerkat and had loaded digikam 1.4 from the
software manager provided. I then upgraded to 1.9 from synaptic manager
because some things didnt work properly and the handbook , downloaded
from synaptic manager, has no content. I visited your site and decided
to down load the dependencies in case this was the problem. this is the
message i got to the sudo prompts you suggested.
libgphoto2-2-dev : Depends: libgphoto2-2 (= 2.4.8-0ubuntu2) but
2.4.10.1-maverick~ppa2 is to be installed
E: Build-dependencies for digikam could not be satisfied.
should i un-install digikam and start again loading the dependencies
first as you suggested and then select digikam 1.9 from synaptic manager
and install that? obviously i am a novice and need a bit of help. hope
you can
cheers
Dian
