Sounds like a similar issue others have as well:
"There's a bug againts this behaviour here (
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=204482), so maybe you should point there and add any information about your specs comparing the other comments."
I added my use case as well. Maybe you can add your's as well. I am not sure how to further debug the problem. It probably requires a "real developer" ;-).
