beagle indexing

Bugzilla from gandalf.lechner@esi.ac.at
hello everyone,

i like to store my tags embedded in the images to make them available to
beagle indexing and searching. now i realized that these data are only
written to the file after i edited and saved it again. is there some way to
have all tag information written to the image files directly?

regards,

gandalf

You you change somthing in Comments & tags sidebar, the digiKam DB metadata
will be updated into the picture.

A new batchprocess tool to synchronize all pictures metadata with digiKam DB
is a possible future solution. It's planed later 0.9.0 final release.

oh - thanks for the quick answer.

i really would like to have such a batchprocess tool. the way it is now, i
have to edit the tags or comments for each picture separately, which is just
not a reasonable thing to do for a large number of files.

gandalf
