Hello digikam users,
In my current workflow, I try manually to tagged picture that can/plan to be used for panoramic or HDR. I would want to know if there is a way (currently or maybe a planned feature) to autotagged pictures depending on some characterics ? For example - When detecting "would-be HDR" (High Dynamic Range / Pictures merging candidates): if I have 3 pictures at almost the same time (1-n sec), same meta, but (normally) just a light level difference (ExposureCompensation meta), add tags 'autotagged' 'hdr' - When detecting "would-be panoramic merge" (later to batch with hugin): If I have a sequence of picture with a time difference less than n sec (usually 1-2), same other meta, add tags 'autotagged' 'pano'. A could-be problem is when I'm doing pano and also taking 2-3 shots w bracketing/different ExposureCompensation. Usually sequence is between 3 to 10 images (x3 if bracketing). Thanks. Cheers, Julien _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Nothing like this is implemented yet, but i remember few entries in

Here what I found * Bug 158437 - Add ability to create/assign a tags to pictures while importing. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158437 * Bug 279544 - Tag image for unsharp pictures https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=279544 * Bug 128333 - digikam automatic photographic tags https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128333 * Bug 157308 - Automatically tag edited images in digikam https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157308 What I see are two needed things: * search pictures based on complex conditions (group of meta / actions / calculus or external program results). For me, in this kind of case, a free unique search field (a la google) with boolean and parenthesis would be more efficient than gui for each field. Also one of the could-be problem is be able to make selection base on image meta and "nearby" images (be it near in time, near in sharpness or whatever) * 'autotagged' them either after some actions (like import, export or edit), either on demand Bug 128333 seems the more "fit all" of them.
