assigning labels while in slideshow mode

hi folks,

I am running 7.0.0 on a mac mojave 10.14.6

I would like to assign labels (stars)  while watching trip pictures with the family on the big screen, every time a good one comes up, press cmd-5!

I try cmd1-5 it does not work.  After stopping the slideshow no labels were assigned.

cmd1-5 does work in thumbnail and preview mode.

Am I doing something wrong?  Or am I reporting a wish?

It looks like a MacOS specific problem. It works here on Linux and Windows
without any problems. Does the assignment to the label widgets work with the
mouse?
