about databases and deleted files

Photard26 (gmail)
Hello,
Sorry for my bad English, i'm a poor frenchy boy...
I would like to know if it's better to delete a file (jpeg or Tiff or png or other RAW) from Linux or from Digikam ?
What's happen into the databases of Digikam if some files disapear from a session to another ?
Thanks a lot

Hi,

It's always better to cleanup your collection from digiKam as database will be updated automatically. This will prevent to synchronize the database with file system through Maintenance tool which is time consuming.

Best
