Hi,
Are there any plans of making layers in the digikam editor, for example in the form of brush adjustments? I so much would like to be able to add a filter on a painted mask! Just create an adjustment mask, and work with digikam tools as usual... As it is, I need to open in a foreign app, which costs saving files on the way, if I am not mistaken. And there is no KDE application doing a nice job, I gave up on using krita for this, so I have to fight with either gimp or darktable - both are UI nightmares, and both are costly to open given the limited resources of my equipment. An of course staying inside digikam would be just very, very cool ;) Kindly, Anders _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I was wondering the same thing - very quiet since the lengthy
discussion on language.
I was worried that all the contributing participants who preferred French had started their own dialog in a separate space :-) . My French skills not so good, and many contributors speaking French have great answers to difficult issues. On 10/06/2014 05:43 AM, Sjoerd wrote:

Greetings,
I actually just installed Digikam for the first time and joined the list yesterday; this was the first message I received! Glad to know there is an active community. My goal is not to respond to all messages in this mailing list.
My priority is to maintain application. This want mean to code, guide others developers, to plan release. For ex, next 4.4.0 is planed to be packaged this evening with more than 50 bug closed. Another ex, is about redundant messages. Today someone has posted a mail about IPTC and tags. This is a question where i already responded a lots of time : IPTC is obsolete and replaced by XMP due to serious limitations (ASCII char only string size limited). I will not respond again to this kind of questions. I lets other users respond. This is the goal of community after all. Remember too that mailing list is archived and open through a web interface to search old topics. Someone who want to post a message here must look in first older messages to reduce duplicates post. https://www.digikam.org/contact?q=support#mailinglists Best Gilles 2014-10-06 18:16 GMT+02:00 Sjoerd <[hidden email]>: > No...I meant when Gilles is here, it must be still the right mailinglist so > we're not lost in space ;) > > On 06/10/2014 17:16, Marie-Noëlle Augendre wrote: >> >> Do you mean all the others can disappear? >> :D >> >> Marie-Noëlle >> >> 2014-10-06 16:19 GMT+02:00 Sjoerd <[hidden email]>: >> >>> When Gilles is here, it must be ok :) >> >> >> -- >> >> "DE L'AIGOUAL À L'AUBRAC, VOYAGE PHOTOGRAPHIQUE EN CÉVENNES >> ET LOZÈRE" est paru : >> >> [1] >> >> Site personnel [2] - Photographe en Cévennes [3] sur FB >> >> Links: >> ------ >> [1] http://www.marie-noelle-augendre.com/sujet/boutique/ >> [2] http://marie-noelle-augendre.com/ >> [3] http://www.facebook.com/PhotographeEnCevennes >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Digikam-users mailing list >> [hidden email] >> https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users > > _______________________________________________ > Digikam-users mailing list > [hidden email] > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I have tried to use the mail archive in the past but without any
success. As far as I can see is is only possible to view within one month, so to see if a topic has been discussed at any time needs over 100 searches, which in my view is not practical. Is there a more efficient way to search the archive? Thanks Mick On 06/10/14 18:16, Gilles Caulier wrote: > My goal is not to respond to all messages in this mailing list. > > My priority is to maintain application. Hi Mick,
you can google restrict to search only on the mailing list website followed by the word(s) you are searching for, e.g.: site:http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-users/ sqlite when you are using for posts related to sqlite.
