Where are the keywords stored?

Hello,
where does digikam save teh keywords? In the xmp-file or are they
written to the metadata (exif) files?
So that other programs can read them.

At more places in fact and it can be configured in Setup dialog :

- In database (always)

- In XMP, Exif, Iptc from image files

- In XMP side car files.

Go to settings - metadata - behavior and sidecars tabs to configure how you want digikam to write the info.

There is also Advanced tab but make sure you know exactly what you are doing before changing anything there.
