New subscriber and I'm hoping someone can help.
Twice now I've had the same thing happen. I select a bunch of photos in preparation for exporting to Flickr, and somehow I hit a keyboard shortcut that erased all the descriptions and captions for the selected photos. Which command/keyboard shortcut did I hit? Is there an undo? (And tangentially, why oh why no confirmation dialog?) I can't for the life of me see any in the list of shortcuts that looks like it might be the one. Shortcuts are listed on Configure Shortcuts dialog from digiKam main window. >I hit a keyboard shortcut that erased all the descriptions and captions for the selected photos. There is no kind of features. It's too dangerous (i digiKam main window) Gilles Caulier 2015-06-10 9:12 GMT+02:00 Philip Weiss <[hidden email]>:

Gilles,
I had the same effect with accidentally loosing all groupings, but tags and other inputs survived (may be, because I have the options enabled to write all that into the images or side carts). I had the impression, I had hit F5 for rereading the directory accidentally instead of using F4 to edit the picture. Could that be an explanation? Is the directory somehow being reread on opening the export dialog? Phil, do you store your meta data into the images (To be configured in Extras/Configuration..)? regards Manuel
