What about stacks and versions features?

tosca
Hi,

I am a newbie in both Ubuntu and Digikam, coming from Windows XP/Adobe
Photoshop Elements. I've installed Digikam 0.10.0 and still have to
import about 8000 pictures from Photoshop Elements.

When browsing this list archives, I saw several threads about grouping
photos by stacks or versions; have these features been implemented
yet? is there any documentation somewhere (the Digikam manual I
uploaded is not up-to-date ...)

Thanks for any hint.
Marie-Noëlle

I think it isn't still implemented, but it's a "must have" feature these days, so maybe near future.... ;)

Thanks for your answer.
Do you know if it is available in the beta version? And is this
version "stable enough" to give it a try ... given the fact I've no
experience in both Digkam and Ubuntu?

From my experience, the beta version is usually very stable. However, the
stack feature is also not yet implemented in the current development version
...
