I only have Digikam 2.5 on my PPA for Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) so far.
Haven't ported it for oneiric just because I haven't got any requests
and am using Kubuntu 12.04 (precise) myself and mostly update stuff
that I use. If not requested that is... :)

Hi Philip,

I'm not sure how hard it is to port 2.6.0 to oneiric... it'd be handy for me, as every time I upgrade my distro to the next version of kubuntu, more bits seem to break, and not all of them get fixed before the next upgrade!
For this reason, I've thus far decided against upgrading to 12.04, but would still like to use digiKam 2.6.0 (esp. as it contains the fix to a bug I submitted and spent some time tracking down).

So if it's not too much trouble, please consider this a request, and I assume others might find it useful too, as I'm not the only one mentioning it.

I appreciate your service very much, it is very helpful! I am planning
to upgrade to Kubuntu 12.04 in the near future, but am still using
Kubuntu 11.10. There are different reasons for not having upgraded
yet, the most important is that the propagated upgrade path via the
muon-updater just doesn't work as described. So the upgrade will most
likely be a bit more difficult and time consuming, and time is money,
which I don't have in abundance... ;-)
I would therefore appreciate very much if you could make digikam 2.6
available also for 11.10... if it is not too much hassle.

I'll look into porting Digikam 2.7 to Ubuntu 11.10 in the next few days. It shouldn't be any problem as long as you guys let me know if it gets any updates of KDE that I need to tweak my PPA for.
