How do I change the colour of the tool tips in the thumbnail view? At the moment I've got black text on a dark grey background. I've tried changing the colour in themes, but it doesn't seem to do anything and they get changed back to default each time I go back and change them. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Doesn't look like it, no. Tried on my netbook too and that is using the same colours that are almost impossible to read. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I have seen treads about this before, but can not remember how to solve nor find on the internet. I think Philip Johnsson knows a solution. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Go to KDE control Center, in to colors pannel, and try to change
current one to see if it's the problem. Here, i run under KDE, not Gnome. I never see this problem. Note : Since 2.x, digiKam do not use dedicated color themes, but KDE color themes everywhere. I am running KDE 4.7.2 on Kubuntu 11.04 and every other application seems to respect the colours under system settings.

What is the Settings > Themes menu for then? _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I guess to change themes, but the configuration of the themes is kde wide, thats probably why config button does not work in dk, at least not here. I use dk 2.2.0 with standard theme on gnome and have no tooltip issue. Mark,
I had the same issue with the default theme in Digikam (black text on dark gray tooltip background) on a fresh Kubuntu install (Oneiric). I switched to Oxygen Cold theme, which has a light blue background for tooltip and it's fine.
