Tool Tips Text Colour

Mick Sulley
Sorry, I'm sure this is a very basic question but I can't find the answer.

When I hover over a thumbnail a box pops up with 'File Properties' and
'digiKam Properties' in nice black text, but the data below these
headings in in white text on a very pale blue background, impossible to
read.  I have found a setting for the font and size but cannot find
anywhere to change it to some readable combination of background/foreground.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this please?

Thanks
Mick

Take a look at your KDE color theme settings. I'm not sure which colors
digikam use, but the theme is where they are picked from.

Re: Tool Tips Text Colour

I have made some progress on this but not yet fixed.

I am running digikam on Debian Wheezy with a Gnome destop, classic
version.  If I run gnome-tweak-tool
and change the default font then the tool tips are readable, the pale
blue text has changed to black text.  This works whichever font I
choose, and even if I change back to the original font.  However when I
reboot the text is unreadable again, whichever default I have chosen.

Any suggestions for a proper fix?  Is there a KDE package I can install
for changing fonts. colours, etc.

Thanks
Mick

sudo apt-get install systemsettings

Then you also need some kde themes as well to actually apply eg
kdeartwork and oxygen-icon-theme or kde-icons-crystal

Re: Tool Tips Text Colour - Fixed!!

Mick Sulley
OK I installed systemsettings, then in Colors, Colors tab I selected a
darker colour for Tool Text and it works, AND it still works after a
reboot.  I didn't need to install any KDE themes.

Thanks for your help
