Thumbnail re-creation crashes digikam 3.5

Peter Mc Donough
Hi,

This has already been a subject in a previous thread in this list and is
reported in

KDE Bugtracking System Bug 326525 - Severe memory leak during
maintenance scan for rebuild thumbnails.

According to "Gilles Caulier 2013-10-24 05:30:56 UTC" in one of the
mails the cause is:

LibPGF: 6.12.24 - external shared library

not for Gilles because he uses an "... internal implementation of PGF..."

Somewhere else I read that the problem will be solved in digikam 4.0.
Now, digikam 4.0 is due in April 2014.

Do I have a solution for 3.5 until then?

cu
Peter

Thanks.

I will have to wait until it turns up on of openSUSE's repositories.
