The wife uses the mouse to browse images. When she clicks on an image,
she expects that the program will switch from browse-mode to view-mode (instead of seeing many thumbnails she will see one picture) like every other picture-management program does. However, Digikam opens the Edit window. In order to preserve the delecate wife-linux balance in our household I must have Digikam switch to View mode like F3 does. How can I configure this? We're using Digikam version 0.9.0. Thanks in advance. Nota : in View mode (F3), using the mouse wheel will change the current image in preview Gilles _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

The problem is that Digikam responds with non-standard behaviour. Worse, there seems to way to configure it for standard behaviour. For most people using a picture gallery program the first thing you want to be able to do is quickly view pictures. -- Chris Green ([hidden email]) _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I agree so I opened up an issue in the Digikam bug database. [1] I urge all who would like the 'view' action to be default or to have it configurable to vote for this issue. I was going to post about this myself so I will just add my support for
this. I think there should be choice in the options to set the default single click action to either view or edit mode. I would much prefer to have view mode as default and then clickon the edit button there to open edit mode if I want it. I appreciate that others might prefer to have edit as default so an option to set it how the individual wants would be ideal. -- Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ ___________________________________________________________ Now you can scan emails quickly with a reading pane.
